Nightstalker’s Midnight Haunt

Deep within the Ebon Hollow, where the trees twisted into clawed fingers and the air hummed with whispers, lived Nightstalker the XenoWendigo. With its sleek, skeletal form, towering antlers, and a spine lined with the remnants of past wanderers, Nightstalker was the whispered legend of the forest—a shadow that moved without sound, a creature of nightmares… or so they thought.

In truth, Nightstalker had a little problem.

It was bored.

For centuries, travelers had feared the Hollow, leaving behind only ghostly echoes of their presence. No more lost wanderers to spook. No more footsteps crunching on the brittle leaves. No more wide-eyed humans daring to enter its domain. It was all just so quiet.

Until one fateful night.

A small flicker of movement caught Nightstalker’s empty gaze. A little moth, no bigger than a fingertip, fluttered in lazy spirals through the misty air. It was bright, glowing softly in the darkness—completely out of place in this land of shadows.

Nightstalker tilted its massive head, curious.

The moth booped the end of its antler.

A deep, guttural growl rumbled from Nightstalker’s chest—not in anger, but in absolute disbelief. The little thing wasn’t afraid! It wasn’t trembling or fleeing or begging for mercy—it was just… playing.

The moth looped through the air, daring Nightstalker to follow.

And, for the first time in centuries, the great XenoWendigo chased something that wasn’t running away in fear.

Through the Hollow they went, darting between trees, slipping through shadows, bounding over moonlit stones. Nightstalker, the ancient terror of the forest, was playing a game of tag with a moth.

And laughing.

A sound no one had ever heard before—a low, breathy, rattling chuckle that sent shivers through the Hollow. Not of fear, but of delight.

When the moth finally landed on Nightstalker’s antlers, gently pulsing with light, the creature stilled, tilting its head as though realizing something important.

Maybe it was alright if some creatures weren’t afraid of the dark.

Maybe, just maybe… the dark could be fun too.

From that night on, those who dared to peek into the Ebon Hollow would see strange lights weaving between the trees—a tiny glowing moth, followed by the towering shadow of a creature no longer bound by its legend, but instead, laughing in the night.

The End. 👁️🦌💀✨
